Lila is seated. Folded into herself, quiet, at rest. The marks are minimal. Just enough to find her.

I painted her in white on natural linen. The clear gesso keeps the warmth of the weave showing through, so the canvas becomes part of her. Skin and linen feel like they belong together - natural ground, natural form.

She's part of a new series, large square figurative paintings stripped back to line and gesture. No colour, no fuss. Just the body, and what the body says when nobody is asking anything of it.

This original painting comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Painted on gallery-wrapped linen canvas, it is ready to hang and carefully packaged for delivery, ensuring it arrives safely to its new home.
